The Adventure to San Javier

Javy, June 26, 2015

On the home from Salto, we stopped in a little village that was called San Javier. Everyone knows that that is my name, but take out the "San."

We stopped and went over to an old, old house that was built by the Russians who came to Uruguay to be prosperous. Then our mom and our dad went out to a dock and saw the river that separates Argentina from Uruguay. The river is called Rio Uruguay. But Teo and I didn't go. We stayed and played on a playground that was very fun.

What we came for was to see the nesting dolls, like the dolls which Russia holds dear. They were bigger than life-size. Think about your dad, if he's tall. Think about one and a half of him. The tallest doll would be as tall as that. The shortest one was about as tall as us. But they do not nest for real. They were made out of cement, so they were very hard.

We needed to eat. There were no restaurants in San Javier, so we drove a little farther down the road and turned onto a dirt road and went straight for awhile. We turned into this nice place. It looked like a campground. We came to a little shop and we thought that they would only have snacks and directions. But they had a little restaurant, too. We ordered some food and ate it up. Then we hopped in the car again and drove away.
